About Foodtechservices

Foodtechservices was formed in 2003 to provide a flexible, convenient and cost effective means of supplementing a company's own technical resource during times of "non routine activity" or to provide technical support to smaller food business who did not need nor could support a permanent technical or QA Manager but nevertheless needed access to such expertise to assist in their due diligence obligations and to secure customer approvals and service customer technical requirements including documentation.

The Company is headed by David Lawrence MIFST who holds a degree in Food Technology from the University of Reading and has worked in technical and operational management for over 30 years. His experience covers a wide range of food technologies including dairy, meat, fish, bakery, fruit juices, chocolate and canned foods and extends to distributors, importers and food service operators as well as manufacturers and includes the design and development of formalised Quality Management Systems to secure approval to supply retailers, leading caterers and many blue chip companies.

Prior to establishing Foodtechservices Ltd he served as Technical Director of a UK arm of a major european dairy products supplier with whom he continues to work on a consultancy basis.
